Pacific Gate by Bosa: Introducing Super Prime residences to Downtown San Diego

Goal:  Generate awareness, interest and sales inquiries for Downtown San Diego’s first Super Prime residences, which ranged from low $1M to more than $4M for Estate Collection.   Challenge:  Sustaining media coverage during construction over 3-year period, when media really wanted to wait to see the final product before producing stories.   Strategies/Tactics:  Developed multi-pronged approach including 1) education on Super Prime 2) target downsizing San Diego residents as more than 50% of buyers coming from the county 3) created strategic partnerships with luxury brands to tap into potential buyers 4) implemented aggressive media relations campaign targeting local, regional and national media 5) spearheaded bi-monthly advertorial copy 6) created social media campaign 7) created media events around newsworthy happenings to generate coverage.   Results:  Building is more than 80% sold and we garnered unprecedented media coverage in Bosa’s history, including stories in Wall Street Journal (3), Los Angeles Times, Dezeen, Architectural Digest, all San Diego media, Modern Luxury, Robb Report, Architect, Haute Residence, Unique Homes, Forbes, and more.
